Job Role: Finance Systems and Integration Manager

Location:  London

Hours: 35 hours per week

The Role

As the Finance Systems and Integration Manager, you will contribute to our vision of being the leader of residential real estate services in the UK by:

• Key responsibility for the application of finance systems within Emeria UK, managing the local finance systems, and liaising with group finance systems team for Workday.
• Integral in the integration of M&A into the standard operating model of the group.
• Providing leadership to ensure a strong controls environment.

  This role reports to the Finance Director and has 1-2 direct reports.

  Key Accountabilities

• Responsible for the role out of new accounting and reporting packages, including Workday, Adaptative and Sage Intact.
• Working collaboratively with wider finance team to set up entities within the Group finance system, ensuring alignment of general ledger and decommission acquired finance systems.
• Constantly reviewing application of systems, ensuring efficient use of all programs, standardisation of processes and identification of improvement potential.
• Responsible for day 1 integration of M&A, including documentation of processes for alignment with Group policies.
• Ensure that access and control of M&A finance systems is established, along with banking, HMRC and other relevant portals.
• Liaise with Group Accountants to obtain closing TB for M&A, including backing documentation for creation of completion balance sheet.
• Interim responsibility for banking of acquisition, working with accounts payable team for payment runs and payroll, where applicable.
• Responsible management accounting of M&A, including P&L and balance sheet reconciliations, prior to inclusion within the Group finance system.
• Maintain strong control framework, liaising with the Group accountant and Finance Director, ensuring compliance with approval matrix.
• Ensure that transactions are recorded in line with relevant accounting standards.
• Lead responsibility for the integration of M&A into the group reporting workflow, working with the Group Accountant and Systems Accountant.
• Collaboration with the Finance Director and CFO on project work.

  Person Specification

  Experience

• Experience with Workday or Adaptive is essential, with an understanding of smaller accounting software packages desirable.
• Prior experience working in a management accounting environment.
• Friendly professional manner, comfortable communicating with peers, other departments and external stakeholders.
• Inquisitive nature, keen problem solver, self-starter and sense of owning workstreams.
• Proactive and careful approach.
• Intermediate to advanced excel skills.
• Excellent time management skills. Clear understanding of and ability to meet deadlines.
