Job Role: Lift Consultant
Location: Midlands
Hours: 35 hours per week- Monday to Friday

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lift Consultant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide expert advice on lift installations, modernisation, maintenance, and compliance with UK regulations. You will work with a diverse range of clients, including commercial properties, residential buildings, healthcare facilities, and industrial sites, ensuring that lift systems are safe, efficient, and compliant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site surveys and assessments of Vertical Transport systems.
- Provide technical advice on lift design, modernisation, and maintenance strategies.
- Ensure compliance with UK safety standards, including BS EN 81, LOLER, and other relevant legislation.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and tender documents for lift projects.
- Assist clients in selecting appropriate lift contractors and suppliers.
- Oversee and manage lift installations, refurbishments, and maintenance contracts.
- Conduct performance audits and risk assessments to improve lift safety and efficiency.
- Provide and present technical support to key stake holders and none technically minded individuals with clear and transparent communication
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure project success.
- Stay updated with industry developments, regulations, and technological advancements.
Requirements:
- Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field (preferred but not essential).
- Extensive experience in the lift industry, ideally in a consulting or technical advisory role.
- Strong knowledge of UK lift regulations and standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Proficiency in MS Office and relevant lift industry software.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
